FAQ
Frequently asked questions
What is the return policy?
Our goal is for every customer to be totally satisfied with their purchase. If this isn't the case, let us know and we'll do our best to work with you to make it right.
When will I get my order?
We will work quickly to ship your order as soon as possible. Once your order has shipped, you will receive an email with further information. Delivery times vary depending on your location.
Where are your products manufactured?
All our products are handmade both locally and globally. We carefully select our partners to ensure our products are high quality and a fair value. Some items are made completely in-house in our kitchen and some are made in collaboration with artists in India and Indonesia as certain leaves are native to these places and cannot be found in London.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping is calculated based on your location and the items in your order. You will always know the shipping price before you purchase.
Are the products Washable? Does the colour come off?
All items can be hand washed with a mild (preferably pH neutral) detergent. You can hang it to dry, keep it away from direct sunlight to avoid fading of the color and iron on low heat.
Since these are all naturally dyed, it is possible for the color to fade over time, hence keeping away from direct sunlight is always advised. However, the print or the color wont come off in the normal wash :)
Do you do custom sizes?
We can do custom sizes for some items, please DM us on Instagram or email us at hello@kenshostudio.co.uk with a specific query.
How do we print leaves on the fabric?
The technique is called eco printing. The fabric and leaves are treated separately in different mordants then we put them together in a pattern, roll them and tie them and boil them. After that, the color of the leaves comes on to the fabric. In some cases, you can hammer the leaves or flowers on the fabric as well which is called pounding or hammering.
How can I see the products in person?
We regularly do markets (pop-ups and exhibitions) in and around London where you can visit us and see in the products in person. To stay up to date about our latest market, check out the 'Find us' page on the website, or follow us on Instagram. You can also sign up for our newsletter and stay up to date on the latest offers and markets.
What are seed wallets and seed cards?
We believe in embedding sustainability into every part of our process which is why we don't make regular leaflets/brochures as people generally throw them away. We have made our leaflets into seed wallets which people can use to grow plants or take as a keepsake. Moreover, our business cards and 'thank you' cards are made of seeded paper which you can plant to grow beautiful wildflowers or mixed vegetables.
